Our Story

Ember Shield was founded in 2009 by James Whitfield, a former fire service officer with a vision to make professional fire safety services accessible to businesses of all sizes across Greater Manchester.

What started as a one-person consultancy operating from a home office has grown into a trusted team of 12 qualified fire safety professionals. We now serve over 200 commercial clients, from independent high-street shops to multi-site industrial operations.

Our growth has been built on a simple principle: deliver honest, expert advice and never cut corners on safety. Every assessment we carry out, every system we install, and every training session we deliver is held to the same rigorous standard that James set from day one.
