Our Story

Growing Together Since 2009

Sunflower Days Nursery was founded by Emma Clarke with a simple vision: to create a childcare setting that parents could trust completely and children would love to attend.

What started as a small nursery in Roundhay has grown into one of Leeds' most respected early years providers. Our purpose-built facility offers bright, spacious rooms, a large outdoor garden and dedicated areas for messy play, quiet time and physical activity.

We are proud to be rated by Ofsted and to have built lasting relationships with hundreds of families across Leeds over the past 15 years. Every decision we make is guided by one question: what is best for the children in our care?

Emma Clarke

Nursery Director & Founder

With over 20 years in early years education, Emma founded Sunflower Days to bring her vision of child-centred learning to life. She holds a BA in Early Childhood Studies.

David Rahman

Deputy Manager

David brings 12 years of nursery management experience and leads our curriculum planning, ensuring every child meets their developmental milestones.

Sophie Turner

SENCO & Room Leader

Sophie is our Special Educational Needs Coordinator with specialist training in supporting children with additional needs and their families.
